LiDAR
Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure distances to objects in real time with incredible accuracy.
The combination of light pulses with data collected by the aerial system generate precise 3D information about the characteristics of the scanned surface.
The resulting 3D point cloud is then used to provide highly accurate outputs of surface and structure conditions.
3D meshes can then be built and exported for use in CAD and BIM applications.
This highly precise data aids in the creation of digital twins, 3D modelling, surface analysis, and much more.
